Fed: Hanson says white women being raped by ethnic gangs

One Nation leader PAULINE HANSON says ethnic gangs are raping white women because they
place no value on them.

Ms HANSON says tougher penalties are needed and more police to target racially based crime.

Speaking on SBS TV she has warned that Prime Minister JOHN HOWARD risks handing power
to the Labor Party at this year's election if he refuses to exchange preferences with
her party.

She says she is concerned about crime in many parts of Australia and women deserve
the right to walk in any part of the country without threat of being attacked by gangs.

Ms HANSON also says the preferences decision had nothing to do with the Country Liberal
Party's loss in the Northern Territory election.

She says the party's length of time in office, and anger at the GST are the reasons
behind its surprising defeat.
